چکیده

On-line radiometric monitors (nuclear meters) have been in use in the industry for many years. They have been utilised for coal quality monitoring, in the control systems for coal blending, or for separating coals in the heavy media separation process. Their operation is based on the scattering or the absorption of incident gamma radiation, and the derived density or ash value is the result of a time-averaged measurement. In this paper, dynamic models of a monitor of the density of water/coal mixture have been presented and discussed. The analysis of monitors with constant time of measurement shows that it is possible to determine the optimal time for which the dynamic error is the smallest. The analysis also shows that the monitors in which the time of measurement is variable and adapts to changes of the input signal give better result. A fuzzy logic decision table has been applied to control the time of measurement according to variations of the input signal. The simulation of the system operation has been performed with the use of the Matlab (Simulink) program package. Key-Words: nuclear meter dynamics, stochastic signal, stochastic signal filtration, adaptive monitor.

Neuro-Fuzzy Based Algorithm for Online Dynamic Voltage Stability Status Prediction Using Wide-Area Phasor Measurements

In this paper, a novel neuro-fuzzy based method combined with a feature selection technique is proposed for online dynamic voltage stability status prediction of power system. This technique uses synchronized phasors measured by phasor measurement units (PMUs) in a wide-area measurement system. In order to minimize the number of neuro-fuzzy inputs, training time and complication of neuro-fuzzy ...

Radiometric Compensation in a Projector-Camera System Based on the Properties of Human Vision System

We introduce a novel technique for performing radiometric compensation for a projector-camera system that projects images onto a textured planar surface, which is designed to minimize perceptual artifacts visible to observers according to a model of the human vision system. A projector-camera system has previously been proposed for projecting images onto an arbitrary surface using radiometric c...

Radiometric Calibration Methods from Image Sequences

Seon Joo Kim: Radiometric Calibration Methods from Image Sequences. (Under the direction of Marc Pollefeys.) In many computer vision systems, an image of a scene is assumed to directly reflect the scene radiance. However, this is not the case for most cameras as the radiometric response function which is a mapping from the scene radiance to the image brightness is nonlinear. In addition, the ex...

PARAMETRIC STUDY ON RAILWAY FASTENING SYSTEM RESPONSE SUBJECTED TO DIFFERENT AXLE LOAD

There are several factors causing fastening systems to deteriorate faster than the designed life. The high repetitive loads from a moving train being one of the main factors, track irregularities, design and installation defects of track components, non-uniform rail support stiffness, unevenness in the rail seat deterioration are some of the factors causing fastenings systems to deteriorate fas...

Investigation of structural, morphological and dynamic mechanical properties of unvulcanized PDMS/silica compound

In this study, the interaction between the silica filler and polydimethylsiloxanes (PDMS) was investigated from the aspects of the bound rubber and morphological characterization. With special attention to the dynamic properties, the dynamic test was conducted by dynamic shear rheometer. The results show that the modified fillers disperse uniformly within PDMS matrix without aggregation and con...
